Travel Destinations: Kashgar, Xinjiang Province, China
Kashgar is located in the far flung province of Xinjiang, at the very end of China itself. Chinese traders and emissaries travelled here over the centuries, believing they had come to the very end of the world a millennia ago. It has been part of the Silk Road. Due to its strategic position it has been the centre of conflict for many different ethnic groups throughout history.
